NAME: SPRINGBUCK WHITE

LIFESPAN: 10 YEARS
ENEMY: BROWN HYENA, SPOTTED HYENA, CHEETAH, LEOPARD, LION, WILD DOG
Appearance: The springbok white, if referring to a leucistic variation, would have a predominantly white coat with possibly faint traces of tan or reddish-brown. It may still retain the characteristic dark stripe along the sides and the white patch on the rump. The facial markings and horns, however, would likely remain the same as those of a common springbok.
Size: Like the common springbok, the springbok white would be a medium-sized antelope, standing around 75 to 90 centimeters (30 to 35 inches) tall at the shoulder and weighing between 30 to 50 kilograms (66 to 110 pounds) for adults.
Habitat: The habitat preferences of a springbok white would be the same as those of a common springbok. They inhabit various habitats across southern Africa, including grasslands, savannas, and semi-arid regions.
Behavior: Springboks, regardless of coat color, are diurnal and highly social animals. They are often found in large herds and engage in the distinctive behavior of pronking, where they leap into the air with all four feet simultaneously. This behavior is thought to be a form of communication or display to potential mates.
Diet: Springboks are herbivores, feeding primarily on grasses, leaves, and other vegetation. They are selective feeders and will graze on a variety of plant species depending on availability and nutritional content.
